Verenzuela landed the $35,000 Maiden Stakes over 1600m aboard Glimmering before winning the main race of the night, the $75,000 Kranji Stakes C over 1200m on the Polytrack aboard Cash Dot Com.

It was Verenzuela's third winner since returning to Singapore at the end of March.

Jumping smartly from an inside draw, Verenzuela made full use of the barrier in leading throughout to score by a length over Great Light (Stephen Baster) with Trudeau (Barend Vorster) a half-length away third.

“Things have been a little slow for me and I haven't been able to get on the right horse as yet,” said Verenzuela.

“Maybe I'll have to go out there and work a little bit harder.”

Verenzuela went into Friday night's race feeling confident after speaking to trainer Desmond Koh during the week.

“I said to Desmond to keep him fresh and he will be hard to beat,” said Verenzuela who has now had three rides on the gelding for two wins and a second.

“It was a pretty simple sort of race. He drew gate one, jumped well and controlled the race.

“He was a bit heavier than what he normally is, but he was nice and fresh for the race.

“He tired in the last bit of the race but luckily everything worked out well.”

Koh said it was good to have Cash Dot Com back in winning form.

“Luckily we found the right race for him,” said Koh. “He had been racing consistently but not having any luck.

“He'd been close up in a few of his starts of late and luckily the door opened for him tonight.”

A four-year-old Australian-bred by Hussonet from the Flying Spur mare Alcazaba, Cash Dot Com landed his fourth win from 15 starts with two further minor placings and took his prizemoney to around $165,000 for the Arowana Stable.
