French SIA Cup entrant Smoking Sun is on track for a bold showing in Sunday's $3million feature at Kranji.
Smoking Sun has travelled outside of his native France for the first time to tackle the SIA Cup but looks to have coped with the travel and the change of conditions well.
He strolled around the Kranji circuit in fine order on Wednesday morning with track rider Patrick Lemagny upbeat about the Group Two Prix D'Harcourt winner.
"He is eating and drinking well," said Lemagny.
"Everything is A-OK with him.
It's all about maintenance and recuperating from here till raceday. The boss (trainer Pascal Bary) gets in on Friday and he will decide if he will have a gallop."
Pascal Bary is no stranger to Singapore having saddled Gloria De Campeao to win the race in 2009 before returning in 2010 and running second on the back of success in the Dubai World Cup.
