10 Races took place at the Selangor Turf Club on Sunday with favourable results for favourite backers as 6 of the 10 races were won by tote favourites.

It was also a day for V SIVAN who celebrated a race-to-race double in races 3 and 4 as well as treble for the premiership leading trainer S DUNDERDALE in races 5,6 and 9. It was a rough start to the day when SAFE JOURNEY took out the first race at odds of RM59 a win despite being a runner who, on form, had every chance of winning. SU LIM was the winning jockey for trainer EP TAN

The second race was more favourable for punters as the overdue Lim's Sinai  came to the fore to win in in his third local start beating Loving Babe by a neck for the L MOY stable under S UZAIR. It was a win full of merit for the overdue ex Singapore galloper and his followers were finally rewarded for their patience after two frustrating seconds. Then came the Sivan double with One Abracadabra  who made it two wins on the bounce under I FIKRI. The double was completed by APIS in race 4 who found the better of First Bowl in the closing stages.

Race 5 was the Mitavite Asia 26th Anniversary Cup and was a battle of the Dunderdale companions as Limitless Roar  kept his unbeaten Malaysian record intact when flying up on the outside to beat Surfie Boy who was game in defeat. It was also the second of a double for the in-form Fikri who has won seven of his last sixteen rides. The following race was the Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses In Training Sale Trophy which was the second of a Dunderdale treble as INFINITY GLORY went start to finish under T AMMAR to make it two wins in a row since relocating to Malaysia. The same combination would team up in race 9 as TYPHOON won in an untidy race as AK Lim took a nasty fall on Ichika Bachika which effected the runners at the back of the field who tried to avoid the jockey. Our thoughts and prayers are with AK Lim for a speedy recovery.

The remainder of the card was completed by LUCKY MAGIC (HY CHENG & S RUZAINI) in race 7; VERY SURPRISE (J LECK & KC LOW) in race 8 and the curtain closed with PACIFIC SOLDIER (C LECK & L DE SOUZA) who franked favouritism to win by over two lengths in the lucky last. This upcoming weekend sees a double header of racing at the STC on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of October.
