Race 1
Race Summary: DARK WINTER has run well in feature events and should have a big say dropping in class. She is, however, also dropping to the minimum distance but a set of blinkers could see her quicken up early. DISCERNING has sprinted well and may step up on her last effort. She is returning from a break and may just need it. Watch out for AYUWI YUWI who wasn't far off in her first start. LADY ELI MO showed good pace to finish second behind a runaway winner and must be respected.

Race 2
Race Summary: Highveld-based colt PARISIAN WALKWAY is improving nicely and is the one to watch. He won his maiden in style and could be headed for better races. The same can be said of filly SPIRIT OF LEVANA who must be looking for the longer trip on pedigree. A 4kg apprentice claim could see her keep her head in front. FAMOUS WARRIOR won a gutsy contest last time and can make more improvement along with FRENCH FLAME who should race from the box seat having drawn in gate one. COMMANDING raced in a Grade 1 event in his last start and could go better this time.

Race 3
Race Summary: Competitive event. GOOD LIVING is coming along the right way and after finishing third behind two decent individuals should have every chance. He has drawn toward the standside along with LORD RANDOLPH who could be the improver now gelded and carrying a light weight. WORLD PHAROAH wasn't far off GOOD LIVING and finished short in that race. He could get closer. SILVER SAVAGE was knocking at the door before making no bid when tried over further last time. He must be taken seriously along with TRIPPI T who has finished second in his last three. WARHEAD is a well-bred debutant.

Race Summary: MY BOY LOLLIPOP can score his overdue maiden win. He looked to be going well last time but found a newcomer who had jumped from a better stall, one better. It could be his day as the longer trip should be up his alley. MC DAZZLER is looking to go one better after finishing runner-up in his last two but is switching from poly. He has been gelded and must be respected. MAGMA MAGIC caught the eye in his last start and this could be the right distance for him. OMBUDSMAN made a fair debut on the Highveld. All of NOCTURNAL FLIGHT, RIVER DANCE, GIMMETHEGOODLIFE and BELLA'S PABLO can earn.

Race 5
Race Summary: LAUGH TILL I CRY appears to be a steady improver and well-bred individual. The drop to this shorter distance could be a better fit and from a decent draw she should have every chance. BLIND SPEED caught the eye in her second start. She gives the impression she will appreciate the distance. YELLOW JACKET showed good pace and didn't fade out over this course and distance. She could be the one to catch even if having drawn wide. STATE SECRET didn't show in the Western Cape but has drawn well along with I WON'T GIVE UP and both rate dark horses. More can improve.

Race 6
Race Summary: After finishing distressed on the poly, RED MOUNTAIN made a form return when running on well to finish in the money over shorter last time. He can go on to score as he looks well placed. FUTURE FLO should enjoy the distance, but he will need to get the timing right from a wide stall. BURNING MAN was only tagged in the dying stages after dictating and making big improvement. He may wait and pounce this time. Filly SILVER JUBILEE ran a fair race last time and could be a threat carrying a light weight. THE MIKADO could be well suited to this distance.

Race Summary: IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA loves this course and is one from one over this distance. He is joint-best weighted with ITSRAININGWILLIAM and VIRGINIA SWEET but is carded to carry 4kg less due to his claiming apprentice and he must rate a big chance. ITSRAININGWILLIAM met the best around last time and could show the strength of that form, but he will need to overcome a wide gate along with CELESTIAL CITY, who is very capable. He is carded to run on the 6th of July and that run must be checked. ROYAL GUIDE and BRISTOL HERCULES have decent form and jump from plum barriers.

Race 8
Race Summary: Juvenile UNITED NATION is the one to watch. He was thrown in the deep end when taking on the best of his age group in the Grade 1 Gold Medallion but had things go wrong. He was impressive prior. LICENCE TO THRILL is capable of better. He could turn the form around with a few at the weights and go close. VOLDEMORT won his last try at this course and has been knocking hard on the poly since. Must go well. GORGEOUS GUY just got the better of ALL THE TIME last time but it could be tougher to hold him off at the weights this time. More can earn.

Race Summary: SHANTA'S PRIDE has very good form and rates the form choice. She has drawn toward the outside but a 4kg apprentice claim should boost her chances. RAFEEF'S CHOICE ran a decent race over the course and distance even though having things go wrong. She has drawn well and could get it right. Quite open past these. MAMAS BABY ran on well last time and has dropped in ratings. She could be the value proposition. TIME FOR CHARITY is another that could add to her tally at decent odds, but she has not drawn best. MAGGIE SMITH, KAILENE, LITTLBLACKVELVET and ONE SMART COOKIE can threaten.
