Peterborough Chase Next As Al Ferof Pleases In Warwick Spin

3 minute read

Al Ferof is on course for next month's Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon after pleasing trainer Dan Skelton in a racecourse gallop at Warwick.

The 10-year-old, who was last seen finishing second to Menorah in the Oaksey Chase at Sandown in April on his final start for Paul Nicholls, warmed up for a shot at the Grade Two event on December 6 by participating in a workout before racing on Wednesday.

Skelton said: "All went well with Al Ferof. I just wanted to give him a little day out before we head to the Peterborough Chase next month."

The John Hales-owned grey won nine times for Nicholls, including the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the 2011 Cheltenham Festival, and was third to Silviniaco Conti in last year's King George VI Chase at Kempton.
