Aidan O'Brien has supplemented Irish Oaks second to the Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks at York on 22 August, with ten fillies featuring amongst the confirmations. The Ralph Beckett-trained Bluestocking, second in the Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot behind Goliath, is the current favourite with connections deciding where to send their star filly over the weekend. Irish Oaks heroine You Got To Me represents top-class three-year-old form whilst Emily Upjohn will be on a comeback mission following a disappointing run in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

Wales & The West enjoyed another successful evening in Thursday's Racing League fixture, recording three wins across the Windsor card. The victories confirmed the team's top spot at the top of the standings with 571.5 points, with London & The West second on 567. The hat-trick included a double for trainer Ian Williams and jockey Kieran O'Neill, who landed the spoils with Night Breeze and Parlando.

Hopewell Bay earnt quotes of 14/1 from Paddy Power for the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes on 28 September after winning the mile Go Bonkers With Dizzee This Saturday EBF Maiden Stakes at Newbury on Friday. The son of New Bay recorded a comfortable win for trainer George Boughey and jockey Billy Loughnane, fending off well-fancied opposition from Ballydoyle, Juddmonte and Godolphin.

The August Sale at Arqana in Deauville got underway on Friday, with a strong book of yearlings available. Japanese trainer Yoshito Yahagi showed a strong hand early when stretching to 800,000 euros for a daughter of Frankel from Haras des Capuchines. The filly hails from the family of Group 1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Waldgeist and is a half-sister to Listed winner Misunderstood.
