The team return with an exciting maiden with scope to improve at Chepstow on Sunday…
Farland went in the tracker last time out when beaten at Chepstow: Sunday's 2m4f JPR Phoenix Maiden Hurdle (13:50) at Ffos Las should be a more manageable task.
Paul Nicholl's bumper winner looked very green on hurdling debut, requiring mounting in the chute and was held up at the back of the field by Harry Cobden. Despite this, he caught the eye, staying on under hands and heels ride from the Champion Jockey to finish third.
The Ditcheat team's form has improved since, with plenty of horses from the yard coming on for the run after fairly lacklustre seasonal reappearances - Nicholl's five-timer at Wincanton on Saturday proves that.
Cobden was fairly considerate in his handling of the inexperienced gelding at Chepstow and he looks capable of improvement if asked a few more questions.
FARLAND – WIN – 5/2
