One surprise win and one favourite win is the balance of the two 1400m races.

Brunacini at 28/1 gave trainer Matt Sims his first stakes win in the Perryville with L Machado riding.  They defeated favourite Book'em Danno and Knightsbridge was third.

Emery did all the right things in the Raven Run to defeat My Mane Squeeze with Fibber 9/1 third.

Both winners are reported to have come out of their races in good form but decisions about running at the Breeders will come later.
