Dubawi Gold had the benefit of a great ride from Richard Hughes to win the Goodwood Mile yesterday.
He was to the rear of the field for most of the race as Set The Trend was up front, in company with
Beacon Lodge and Poet's Voice. Beacon Lodge went the first but couldn't match the burst of speed fromDubawi Gold, and Poet's Voice found nothing. Good runs from all three horses.
In the Prestige Stakes for the 2yo fillies Regal Realm had to duck and weave over most of the straight as
she tried to find a gap and finally she found it and put on an stunning final burst and gain the verdict fromRakasa, who had been in the lead together with Questing, who finished third.
