Dr Grigoris had been expected to shine in this Open Benchmark 89 over the 1100 on the AWT but either

he didn't like the surface or he was just having an off day but he did nothing. It was My Son who

appreciated the drop in weight and took the race for Barend Vorster and Patrick Shaw, with Shaw now

moving into the lead in the trainers' championship. Rapido Star ran second and outsider Dragon World ran

third.

Next weekend in Singapore is a beauty with Rocket Man running on the Friday in his prep before going to

Hong Kong and the Gold Cup on Sunday.
