As the racing year in Singapore draws to a close, two Race 9s are the features.

Friday's Race 9 is the Open Benchmark 89 1800m on the AWT. Powerful Blitz in theory is the strongest

horse in this, but Joyful Heart Man is on the up and could challenge. Hint is returning after his 4th in the

Gold Cup and will enjoy this, and Alacarte is getting another chance from us even though the last couple

of runs haven't been that impressive.

On Sunday Race 9 is the Open Benchmark 97 1200m on the AWT. It took a while for them to work out

Dittatore but it seems that the puzzle has been solved and he's been running much better lately. Dragon

World is coming in on a strong run of recent races. Arowana Dot Com is coming into this after a short

break so he'll be nice and fresh, and we are adding Collect the Cash for the multiples.

News of Rocket Man is that he pulled up well after the HK race where the draw really saw him out of

contention at the first turn if you look back at the race, but since he's been home Pat Shaw has noticed

some heat in a tendon and he's being x-rayed just to check that all is well, which we hope will be the

case.
