Whale Caputre, a lovely grey horse, has never finished worth than fifth place but did not have too many "1" s before her name.

The Victoria Mile G1 at Tokyo Sunday was her chance to shine and she did so in great style, defeating Donau Blue ridden by Craig Williams, and a much better run from Marcellina in third, Kyowa Jeane a nose away in fourth and 3/4 length to last year's winner Apapane in fifth.

Williams had quite a good day at the office with a win and a second in his other rides.
