It looks on paper as if it will be a very exciting race indeed with not much between several of the top fillies.
The Guineas winner Gentildonna, one of three little "Impacts", is out in gate 14 but she may be able to get across. Her half sister Verxina is fancied by many and will have Hiroyuki Uchida riding. Craig Williams will be riding I'm Yours who is by Falbrav. She's going up in trip but she's in gate 1 and Craig may be able to find the shortest way home. Omega Heartland is by our adored and lamented Agnes Tachyon - she was unlucky in the Guineas and has the ideal gate here so look for a much better performance.
And then there's Hana's Goal, owned by Aussie Michael Tabart, who set the world on fire in the Guinea's trial and then was injured and didn't make the Guineas. She she went in against the boys in the NHK Mile as a sharpener-upper and was not disgraced there. She's only small but she has a huge heart and a great turn of foot. Don't leave her out!
On Saturday at Kyoto there's a G2 dirt race over 1900m and while we don't spend too much time on the dirt races Craig Williams is riding Miracle Legend who probably has the best chance of any. Wonder Acute may be the strongest of the competitors.
