Will the real Auguste Rodin turn up?

That is the big question of the day.  He's running in the Prince of Wales, the G1 of the day and is currently favourite on 3/2.  Inspiral for the Gosdens with Kevin Shoemark riding is on 11/4 and the real threat in the race is the French runner Horizon Dore on 7/1.  He ran second in the Prix d'Ispahan.  If the good Auguste Rodin turns up he would probably be well held but if AR decides he doesn't want to be there, watch out!

The Queen Mary is G2 for the 2yo fillies with 26 of them lining up and the same comments as we gave for the Coventry apply – anything can happen!  If it were to go according to script Truly Enchanting, a No Nay Never filly, would win as she's on 11/2 and favourite for this after a good win on debut.  We generally prefer horses with at least 2 runs under their girths so will put in Miss Rascal 13/2 for the Coles with Tom Marquand riding.  She's by Havana Gold and is a c&d winner.  Kassaya on 15.2 is a talented daughter of Kingman with Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy and the roughie is Enchanting Empress on 12/1 for Raphael Friere and David Egan.  She's by Prokofiev.

The Queen's Vase is G2 over 2000m for 3yos with 11 to run headed by the O'Brien-Moore Illinois on 3/2.  He's by Galileo and very consistent.  However the stablemate Highbury could be a threat.  He won his maiden by 7 ½ lengths and is also by Galileo with Wayne Lordan riding and the present quote 11/4.  And the third pick Birdman beat Highbury in a previous race.  Birdman is with Jessica Harrington and Sean Foley has the ride on the Free Eagle colt who is on 9/2 which could be value.  Our roughie here is Mina Rashid who is going up in class but looks to be on the up having won his latest start at Chester.  He's on 14/1 for Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy.

The Duke of Cambridge is G2 for f&m over the round 1600m trip with 14 starters.  Last year's winner Rogue Millenium is back and currently favourite on 11/4 for JP O'Brien with McMonagle riding but not sure that the quote is tempting enough.  The Gosdens have a couple of nice runners here in Laurel, a Kingman product out of a Danehill mare with Ryan Moore riding and Running Lion on 9/1.  We are ignoring her Epsom run and as a daughter of Roaring Lion is well worth supporting.  Breege won the Princess Elizabeth at Epsom for the Quinns and comes in to this on 11/1 with Jason Hunt riding so will see some of our hard earned head in this direction.

They are going to water the course and current reading is G>F.
