Not the best of weather as it rained all day and the track went downhill from soft to very sticky in the later races.
The feature Prix du Moulin de Longchamp over 1600m went as we predicted to a local runner in the form of Tribalist, with Andre Fabre who put up Barzalona and they went off at a ridiculous 20/1and by leading the whole way managed to win in relative comfort. Charyn did run second but obviously did not like the ground and Henry Longfellow just nudged out our roughie Caramelito for third.
The first three races all G3s went to the favourite namely Hoquetort, Ombudsman and Certain Lad. We are pleased to report that our trainer friends Corine Barande-Barbe, Andreas Schutz and Gina Rarick all had good results with the first two saddling winners Orange Vif and Monty and the latter with a good third from Faster.
