ROSEHILL - tips by Chris Scholtz

SR 2: (2) DYNAMIC HONOUR - Looks a good race for this promising Dynaformer colt to extend his winning sequence after two strong wins over 1200m and 1250m at Gosford and Canterbury since resuming. He has hit the line hard from off the pace in both wins carrying good weights and should be even better getting to 1400m for the first time this prep on his home track.

SR 5: (4) MISS MARX - Don't read too much into the recent unplaced trials by this talented mare as she won first-up at this course off a similar prep in May. She has been a model of consistency, having never missed a place in seven starts including four excellent performances on this track. She has coped well with the full range of track conditions and is well placed to add to the excellent strike rate of the strong O'Shea/Rawiller combination.

SR 7: (9) NEXTANIX - This big raw gelding may still be a work in progress but the step up to 2000m comes at the right time after his recent unlucky efforts at 1600m, dropping back to his right class after his late finish for fifth in the Goulburn Cup. Drawn to enjoy a quiet run in the second half of the field and will be hard to hold out if he gets an unimpeded run when he needs it.

ONES TO AVOID

SR 8: (7) STRATANA - Flying with three wins from four starts since resuming but all good things come to an end. Expect him struggle to get 1300m from bad gate with a severe 3.5kg jump in weight from latest win.

CAULFIELD - tips by Wayne Bristow

MR 2: (1) BUZZING ALONG - Can the Tassie troops strike again? This filly always runs with consistency and this is her first go at the 1400m but seems like she will get it. In her 2yo days she had form through Triple Asset who has since shown she can perform on the mainland at group level. The claim is critical here and they've picked a competitive but winnable race.

MR 8: (2) SHADOWFAX - Performed his best first up rating when charging home for fourth in the big sprint on Melbourne Cup day and a similar rating would win this. He loves the 1400m and second up over that trip last time at this track he won by a widening five lengths. If the track ends up rain affected, double the bet.

ONES TO AVOID

MR 3: (7) ELUSIVE KING - This one is a bit of money muncher. It's been ten runs since he last won and he has been hard in the market most times since. He always seems to range up to win and yet rarely stick his head out. Plenty will jump on the form through Sea Galleon but he is a winner and this one isn't. Also has previously has had barrier matters so not the most positive conveyance.

EAGLE FARM - tips by Wayne Bristow

BR 6: (1) ZERO ROCK - None of her rivals in this can say they have gotten that close in good quality races as she did during the last Winter. The Danzero mare was competitive in Group Races before fighting on in the Stradbroke into third and having little luck in the Tiara. Not only is her form sound but she is thrown in here at the Set Weights & Penalties only 3kg over the limit. If right should win.

BR 7: (9) CARRY ME BLUEY - While stepping up in grade for this Listed Race, he couldn't be going much better. Bar the likely favourite, he is in the best form but importantly he gets to carry the limit which is a 2.5kg drop on the last win and getting more than off the mare near the top of the weights. He likes pace on which Rockdale will set and is more or less third up at a mile which is ideal.

ONES TO AVOID

BR 7: (2) FILLYDELPHIA - This mare is going great guns but there is a little hurdle in her form which might be worth risking in the Recognition Stks. Her record at Eagle Farm is two wins from ten starts. No doubt she will be hard in the betting but as a mare she has to carry plenty of puddin'.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS - tips by Jason Hickson

AR 3: (2) DID WE WIN - Flying. Too good in the Donald Cup and doubtful any of these would get close in that race. Freshened since and carries same weight here. Stable are going so well too.

AR 5: (2) MR LOWNDES - Progressive type who was solid at Moonee Valley when getting too far back. Big winner at home previous run. Looks suited by the trip and will be hard to hold out.

ONES TO AVOID

AR 6: (2) BAGMAN - Got burnt the last time we bagged the Bagman but has come up equal favourite here, on the back of a sixth in the Durbridge Stakes then a six length 10th at Flemington. Would have thought he'd be going up in trip but back to 1250m here.
