Chris Scholtz - Early Thoughts
R&S Contributing Editor Chris Scholtz takes a look at tomorrow’s Sydney racing.
SELECTIONS
Rosehill Race 5 - 10 Imposing Lass
Looks to be a filly with plenty of upside after resuming with an easy kill over 1400m at Warwick Farm when she dictated from the front and extended impressively to score by four lengths.
That was only her third race start and underlines her scope for improvement.
Rosehill Race 8 - 7 Hetty Heights
Came back from a spell with two impressive provincial wins including a qualifier for the Provincial Championship but then had little go his way in the Final at Randwick when awkwardly placed and striking trouble in the big field.
Looks capable of winning a good race and drawn to enjoy a much better run in this field.
Taking him on trust but will prove hard to beat in this grade if he runs to his ratings from previous preparations.
Had a tough run first-up in Group company at Caulfield in February and has since had a very quiet trial at Warwick Farm that gave a clear indication that he is in good form for a race of this class.
