Chris Scholtz - Early Thoughts
R&S Contributing Editor Chris Scholtz takes a look at tomorrow’s Sydney racing.
SELECTIONS
Has made quite an impression recording two easy out of town wins at Canberra and Gosford by big margins.
Highly regarded by his stable and no qualms about giving Yusuke Ichikawa the mount, he rides this gelding in all his work. Gets plenty of weight from main rivals and has the figures to win in this class.
Rosehill Race 6 - 8 Rockolicious
Ready to peak at fourth run of this preparation, showing he was close with his last start third over this same course and distance on April 23 when carrying 61kg in a lower grade event.
Meeting better company but drops to only 52.5kg after the claim and could get all the favours from the rails draw.
Rosehill Race 8 - 6 Way Too Good
Michael Rodd makes a rare Sydney appearance and has been handed a top chance by the in-form James Cummings stable with this improving filly well placed to add to a growing record.
She’s been placed twice from three starts since resuming and has trialled well at Rosehill since her latest third at Wyong on March 30.
