Chris Scholtz - Early Thoughts
R&S Contributing Editor Chris Scholtz takes a look at tomorrow’s Sydney racing.
SELECTIONS
Rosehill Race 4 - 10 Don't Doubt Marley
Not much has worked out for this lightly-raced mare in her four starts since resuming, especially last time when working to the line strongly under 58kg for second over 1300m at Warwick Farm after a fine effort in a strong black type field at the Scone carnival.
Sharp drop in weight counters the class rise and the addition of blinkers on her home track looks to be the right formula for further improvement.
Rosehill Race 6 - 4 Disgraceful
Ready to peak at his third run back from a spell after two excellent placings in similar company, the latest when closing strongly behind the talented Bullrush over 1400m at Randwick when he was elevated to second after a successful protest.
Yet to miss a place when third up and comes in nicely at the weights with 1.5kg less after in form apprentice Koby Jennings takes his claim.
Rosehill Race 7 - 2 Magical Stance
Kicked off his new campaign with an excellent third over 1200m in very heavy going at this course two weeks ago and can only progress from that effort stepping up to this more suitable distance.
Boasts excellent course and distance stats and appeals as a safe gamble at an each-way price as he is yet to run out of the money when second up.
