ZEROING IN

We go about finding a weekend special from a statistical angle.

Randwick Race 8 - 3 Flamboyant Lass

Handy mare from the Gai Waterhouse stable who has returned two solid performances to begin this campaign and now appears set to peak racing third up.

Was only narrowly edged out first up at Rosehill before solid in defeat behind Pioneering last weekend.

Now steps up to 1400m and should be suited on the quick back up.

Will have no concerns with the wet track and the wide draw is likely to be favourable towards the end of the day.

Flamboyant Lass has placed in two of three attempts on her home track and while some query at the trip she was stakes placed over 1400m during the Autumn.

Admittedly has her fair share of weight but is still well placed on best form and looks to get the pace angle to suit with not a great deal of speed engaged.

If able to pinch a few cheap sectionals early she should prove hard to get past in the straight.

Key Trends
