Winning Trainer: Nick Ryan (Rep by Damian Kefford)
"It had a long time off with a tendon injury so it's nearly out of the scene for two years.
"Nick's just been really slow with it. We gave it two runs over 1000 (metres) which is obviously unsuitable for the horse.
"It had a trial, it's just building fitness and for the last few weeks the horse has been going really well at home.
"We just got a great ride today by Rhys and the planets aligned.
The close finish: "Looking back I did think the outside horse had got it. But the horse is really fit. It showed that late.
"On the line I wasn't sure, but the slow-mo confirmed that. So it was a really good and great for all involved."
Winning Jockey: Rhys McLeod
"I was tossing up whether to lead early but it felt like we would have been doing too much work so we followed Walk Of Fame. He gave us a lovely cart into it and he dropped us at the top of the straight but our horse really dug in deep.
"Nick' s put the work into this horse. He's had a lot of jump outs. He's obviously had the two runs back from a long spell but his fitness is there so that was never going to be the issue. Really strong win."
