Winning Trainer: Grahame Begg
On the win: "She's got good ability. She' s got a good first- up record. Looked the right race. We identified this race some months ago. 1100 (metres) round here, it's just a nice starting point for her today. Rode her perfectly, put her in a great position. Well done to Jordan, the team at home, Lucy looks after her; she rides all the work. She's done a great job, and well done to everyone who put a big effort into getting all these races."
"She's won on our soft ground. So it's been a great result for Ace Bloodstock, who purchased her out of New Zealand. So, she's got a good little record and I'm sure she can only build on this."
On the horse: "Well, she's a quirky little girl. We've got to train her a bit lightly. She probably won't come back for another month to the races. A race like the How Now will be right up her alley here on Rupert Clarke day."
Given good break: "We were only learning about her to be truthful and, you know, what she likes and what she doesn't like. So, we feel that she' s best when she's a bit fresh, the race is a bit spaced. I'm sure she's going to get to a good level."
In the run: "Yeah, look, he rode it beautifully. Look, obviously she drew very, very well and she' s got nice speed and he was able to utilise all of that. But in saying that, she was travelling very easily coming to the turn and she had a bunny to follow, so she just fed off that. And, you know, when he let her down, she really let down really well."
Winning Jockey: Jordan Childs
Pinned the ears back: "Yeah, she did. She's a very nice mare. Obviously her record last campaign was really good, so it's good to see her first up today, come back and do that. She's in for a good prep."
On the win: "Yeah, look, I think 1200 meters (will be fine). She might eventually get 14, but she just does it so naturally. She's' quick out, travels nicely, and when you ask for an effort, she's got a really good turn of foot. So I think she's still got improvement to come, but very happy to get another win for Graeme and the team as well. Big supporters of mine and hoping it can continue."
