Kent Eyes New Zealand With Unusual Suspect

3 minute read

American war horse Unusual Suspect has earned himself a trip to New Zealand following his win in the Werribee Cup on Sunday.

Trainer Michael Kent is now eyeing the Auckland and Wellington Cups early next year which could draw the curtain on Unusual Suspect’s lengthy career.

Kent was hopeful a successful trip to New Zealand would earn Unusual Suspect a stud deal across the Tasman.

Unusual Suspect ran third to Ibicenco in the Sandown Cup (3200m) last month after his 21st in the Melbourne Cup.
