The Joe Pride-trained sprinter is set to resume in the Premiere Stakes at Randwick on Saturday week after a second successive trial win.

Terravista had been set to make his spring return in The Shorts last Saturday but was withdrawn due to a wet track.

Allowed to settle third behind the leading pair of That’s A Good Idea and Diamond Oasis, Terravista showed his customary acceleration when Hugh Bowman loosened the reins and quickly dashed past his rivals under minimal urging.

Bowman allowed Terravista to coast in the final strides to beat Diamond Oasis by a half length in a time of 46.4 for the 798 metres.

The winner’s stablemate Tiger Tees produced a solid effort in running fourth while Godolphin’s San Diego was warming up late in the heat.

The Chris Waller-trained Silverball, a candidate for next Saturday’s Epsom Handicap, was withdrawn from his heat earlier in the morning.
