Racing And Sports highlights some key statistics for horses, jockeys and trainers at Australia’s race meetings on Wednesday.
Gerald Ryan – Canterbury
Gerald Ryan’s stable is in good form at present, striking at 20 per cent, and the trainer continues several successful jockey associations at Canterbury today. Ryan has six runners and combines with four different hoops, three to be ridden by Tim Clark, who is striking at 24 per cent individually and wins 21 per cent of his rides for Ryan. He rides Star Of Monsoon in Race 3, Loverboy Charlie in Race 4 and My Amazing Cool in Race 6, Ryan also saddling up La Muse in the latter race with Travis Wolgram in the saddle, who strikes at 38 per cent with the trainer. Ryan’s other runners are Storm System for Kerrin McEvoy (25 per cent strike rate with Ryan) in Race 1 and Thorsborne for Andrew Adkins (11 per cent) in Race 8.Brad Rawiller – Sandown
Brad Rawiller has the best current strike rate of any jockey riding at today’s Sandown meeting, winning with 26 per cent of his recent rides. Two of those – Septamore in Race 3 and Justa Hint in Race 6 – are pre-post favourites and Rawiller has a 35 per cent success rate on market elects. His two other rides are also in the market, Benny Goes Berzerk in Race 1 and Bayanova in Race 5.Tony Gollan – Eagle Farm
Trainer Tony Gollan takes a 22 per cent strike rate in to today’s Eagle Farm meeting and his five runners all have a chance to add to his recent winning tally. Several are also vying for favouritism and Gollan does well with market elects, striking at 32 per cent.
