Silento (Race 3) opened as the second longest priced runner of the field but has firmed a massive 20 points to $5.50. He resumes today and while his form tapered off over longer trips last campaign , he did win fresh and punters are giving him a chance of repeating that effort today.

Sheza Yankee (Race 4) has been backed in to clear second favouritism at $4 after opening at a quote one-and-a-half points longer. The daughter of All American steps out for her first start and while she has no public trial to go off the market move suggests she is expected to go close on debut.

Dame Van Winkle (Race 7) has taken over as favourite at $3.10 after shortening almost two-and-a-half points since trading began. The filly achieved the highest last-start rating when winning her maiden at Doomben and while up in grade she should be at peak fitness third up.

Medieval (Race 8) has been backed into favouritism at $3.20 after opening at a quote $1 longer. The consistent gelding has run top three at his last four outings and looks suited by the step up to the mile after running on well for third at this track last start.
