South Australian-trained mare Gogo Grace took her record to five wins and five placings from 19 stakes in taking out her first stakes race in good style here. She travelled nicely in sixth place, one off the rails, behind a good pace before switching deep rounding the home turn to make her bid. She raced to the front in the centre of the track at the 100m and then went on to score comfortably. Tizso Wicked raced back in seventh place behind the eventual winner (Gogo Grace). She fanned wide on straightening and kept running on, getting up just in time to take second from Deja Blue who had tracked the leader (Galeocerdo), got to the front at the 200m and then held on for third.
