Thoroughbred Park will host some of the region’s most beloved beer, wine, and spirit producers for the third annual Hops & Hooves Festival on Saturday, 28 September.

Bringing together the passion of independent producers, the Canberra Racing Club are thrilled to once again provide local and regional vendors with the opportunity to share the fruits of their labour on the backdrop of lively thoroughbred racing.

In a coup for the festival, two of the South Coast's most popular breweries have joined the rich suite of vendors.

Broulee Brewhouse is one of the many producers setting up their stall this Saturday at Thoroughbred Park, with Manager Jo Taylor excited for the opportunity to join in on the festivities for the first time.

"We are really excited to be part of Hops & Hooves this year." Taylor said. "It will be our first time attending the festival!"

"We have a lot of customers from Canberra, whether through local bottle shops or visitors to our little part of the South Coast so we're stoked with the opportunity to pour our beer in Canberra."

"Hops & Hooves sounds like a great event; we love the idea of bringing horses and craft beer together."

Joining Broulee Brewhouse in representing the South Coast is Big Niles Brewing Co. from Dalmeny, offering an extensive range of craft beers including XPA's, IPA's, and much more.

"We are so grateful for the opportunity to be part of Hops and Hooves festival." Big Niles Brewing Co-Founder Michelle White said. "We are excited to be pouring our award-winning beers alongside some of the best producers in the region."

"Our brewery is in Dalmeny on the South Coast of NSW - a hotspot for holiday makers from ACT. We hope that the exposure will highlight our presence on the South Coast and lead to our brewery being part of punters holiday plans".

"Some of the best beers in the country are made in the local region & beer drinking goes hand in hand with a race day. We think it is so valuable to be able to partner with Thoroughbred Park to highlight local producers."

Along with the myriad of local and regional drink vendors, Thoroughbred Park ensures racegoers won't go hungry with appearances from Spit Shack, BZ Burgers, and the Harmonie Club's German Food Van stationed around the event to pair perfectly with a drink of choice.

Footy fans are encouraged to join in on the festivities with a dedicated watch area featuring a broadcast of the AFL Grand Final locked in.

Gates will open at 12pm, with local racing beginning at 1:51pm. Tickets are available via Oztix.
