Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Dubbo, Warwick Farm, Sandown,Sunshine Coast, Balaklava and Belmont.
DUBBO: RACE 3 @ 1:39 PM
EGYPTOLOGIST (3) showed potential when trained in Sydney, finishing in the money in 2 of his 3 starts there during his initial prep. He has since changed stables and will find it easier in the country. He won a recent trial on this track and with the blinkers on for the first time, he is the one the beat fresh up. CHECK YOUR SIX (1) is an ex-Victorian making his local debut after last racing at Sale 8 weeks ago. Watch the markets closely for a guide. BRANDYWINE (6) has been trying to win a race for some time and has turned a corner recently with her form. She is capable of a top 3 finish in this lineup. BLING EMPIRE (5) is better than her last couple of starts indicate and is dropping down to 1200m for the first time. Include in all combinations.

WARWICK FARM: RACE 4 @ 3:10 PM
BONITA QUEEN (9) led clearly when they straightened but her condition told, and she found one better late in the piece when resuming over this distance at Canterbury last start. Led all the way and bolted in second-up last prep over this trip. The testing material. RAGGA RAGGA (8) resumed with a dominant all-the-way win over this course and distance three weeks ago. Lightly raced mare who has plenty more to offer. STRAPPARSI (3) picked up nicely but just ran out of ground when resuming over this journey at Hawkesbury recently. Always improves with that run under her belt so expect her to be in the finish again. MONTE KATE (6) returns for a second campaign. Measured up to this class when last in work so cannot be overlooked. LOVERO (2) resumes. Has two wins and two placings from six first-up runs. Must be respected.
SELECTIONS: Bonita Queen to win.
SANDOWN-LAKESIDE: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM
HEART OF GLASS (7) resumes. She's a lightly raced mare with a good winning record having taken out her first two starts last preparation before a close up fifth at Sandown Hillside. She's got a sharp turn of foot and will be hard to hold out. VALOIS (2) broke through for a smart win here last time out when well supported in a BM64 with 61.5kg. He'll be hard to hold out again. GROUNDRUSH (6) resumes. He'll be better over a touch further but has the ability to sprint well fresh and certainly has the ability to win this level of race. KAHHOF (8) resumes. He's a consistent type who was racing in some strong races last time in. Rates a key chance. THREE RINGS (4) is fresh for this but on a two race winning streak and can figure.
SELECTIONS: Heart Of Glass to win.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 8 @ 5:16 PM
I AM ARTIE (8) brought strong form to resumption and spaced the 62 graders here. He races forward and the gun hoop rides the first time. Fitter and he looks capable of taking the next step. KEMI ZABI (5) resumes for the premier barn with a handy 2kg claim and is proven fresh. He will be naturally improved and maps well. He's been off the scene for a while so the late betting will be key. POWER OF THE BRAVE (3) had excuses at Eagle Farm and his Randwick and effort prior in a 72 reads well. Handles heavy ground and he'd win at best. LITTLE VISTA (6) didn't have much luck here last time but impressed her prior beaten a whisker when he led. That effort would see him competitive at a big price.
SELECTIONS: Sticking with I Am Artie.
BALAKLAVA: RACE 5 @ 3:40 PM
POINTLESS PRAISE (3) made a promising return back in June but has since disappointed. Strikes his easiest assignment in quite some time back in this grade and is a course and distance winner. Draws favourably with winning hoop in Pannell reuniting. No excuses. FIZIQUE (1) kept going here last start to record a comfortable on-pace victory. Unbeaten over the track and trip and is drawn well again. Main danger. WHISKY SOUR (4) was prominent at the turn last start and didn't lie down in the lane when beaten narrowly at Gawler. Should be making his presence felt again. HOT FLUSH (2) fought hard to hold off Whisky Sour last start. Worth noting apprentice goes on to aid at the weights. Needs to be considered. MILITARY PRESS (6) next best.
SELECTIONS: Pointless Praise to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 2:24 PM
CRESCENT CITY (7) kept on well from midfield last time out, finishing 2.8L off the winner over 1400m. Fitter and further are both big ticks, with Pike remaining in the saddle from a good alley. Drops sharply in weight and can turn the tables on his rivals with a win today. ADMIRATION EXPRESS (5) looks to be recapturing her 3YO form following some hiccups over the past 12 months, just missing in a good race over the mile here 25 days ago. CJP can have her in a good spot in running and if she runs up to what she produced last start, she'll be right in the finish. TRIPLE JAY (4) beat his rivals in a similar race over 1400m last start when kicking away from the front to win by 1.1L. Out to this trip for the first time which is the question, but he's relatively bombproof and will make his own luck. Can win again without surprising. UPPER LIMITS (9) is ready to peak now third-up and won't be far away. DESENNEA (8) can build on a good win last time out.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Crescent City.
