Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 24.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Sunshine Coast Poly, Narromine, Kilmore, Swan Hill, Strathalbyn, Bunbury, Canberra and Hobart.
SUNSHINE COAST POLY: RACE 4 @ 3:34 PM
AQUAHOLIC (2) on the synthetic for the first time today on his return. Kicked off the last campaign with a second at Sunshine Coast over 1000m. Blinkers come off. Looks hard to beat. MODISTE (10) was in the money two starts back at Sunshine Coast then missed the frame but was not too far away last time over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. The blinkers go on. Best form stacks up and she is among the chances. LATE NIGHT TALKING (9) and the resuming ROCK LOBSTER (11) are next best.
SELECTIONS: Aquaholic the one to beat.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Sunshine Coast Poly Computer Card.
NARROMINE: RACE 7 @ 4:39 PM
LOCKDOWN GAMBLE (2) outclassed from the wide draw when a wilting 15th in the Little Dance behind St Lawrence over 1600m at Randwick on November 5. Back to his right grade today and expected to go close. SEA OF FLAMES (4) much better effort on the quick back-up when sitting on the speed for a gritty second over 1600m at Warren on November 10. Gets weight relief with the claim and he has the numbers to take this out. VINCENZO (1) disappointed last time out after pulling up lame when a wilting sixth over 1800m at Randwick Kensington in BM88 grade on October 30. Since fitted with a 1200m trial win and can bounce back from the inside gate. POSSIBLY SO (8) poor effort at Warren last start and go on his eye catching third over this trip at Orange two back when assessing his chances. Will add value to the exotics.
SELECTIONS: Lockdown Gamble to win.
KILMORE: RACE 3 @ 2:20 PM
SIGIRIYA ROCK (3) clearly on top. His debut at Sale is the best performance of anything in this field, finding the line nicely to grab second, beaten under a length over 1400m. He draws beautifully here, should improve and will take beating. STAR CANTO (8) has run third in both starts to date, sticking on well at Sale last time out. She draws well here and should measure up. WIREWALKER (1) resumed with a good run at Geelong and has even chance to improve. BEDTIME ANGEL (9) was good at Mornington last time and has claims.
SELECTIONS: Sigiriya Rock to win.
SWAN HILL: RACE 5 @ 3:50 PM
OLIVIA'S SCANDAL (13) was ridden with more aggression last start and responded by boxing on gamely for second over this course and distance. Down in class today and looks nicely treated after the claim. Ready to win. WILLIAMSTOWN (2) raced handy then lengthened in good style to collect his maiden win last time out over 1500m at Mornington. Still has improvement to come at the fourth run of the campaign so stick with him. BRASSI ROAD (5) last raced in a BM58 three runs back when he finished third over this distance at Echuca. Put the poor recent form aside - can bounce back. WINSOME FLOWERS (7) won her maiden here at this journey two runs ago before being outclassed at Warrnambool last time. Can make amends. TARSHIN (9) is fitter for two runs back from a spell and his last start third at Ballarat is a good form reference.
SELECTIONS: Backing Olivia's Scandal.
STRATHALBYN: RACE 1 @ 1:18 PM
LADY SKYLLA (6) progressed nicely last time out to finish second over 1500m at Gawler after being in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. COMMISSIONS (1) improved last start but found a couple better at Gawler. Likely improver with strong prospects. IRISH THORN (2) improved last start when he made late ground but found one better at Gawler, only beaten a head. Looks well placed so expect another big run. GIORGI (12) strips fitter and can make her presence felt. Don't dismiss.
SELECTIONS: Lady Skylla to win.
BUNBURY: RACE 7 @ 8:00 PM
HOUSEWIFE (10) bolted in over 1100m at Northam last start to shed the maiden tag as favourite. She posted a handy figure winning that race and that effort suggested she could work through the grades. Should get the run of the race today and bring up back-to-back wins. SUNLIT FRESCO (4) just couldn't hold on when beaten by a good one at Ascot fresh. She'll be better for that effort and she has the speed to offset the wide alley once again. Back in good order and now has a good platform to build on today. SIRIUS STORM (7) resumes today and was a fresh winner to begin last campaign. He's looked good at the trials recently and the blinkers are reapplied today. Maps for a lovely run and can get the job done. ZEEZEA (5) was too good last time out when winning narrowly and can go on with the job from a better draw now. CLASSIC RULER (1) is better than he's shown his past couple and can bounce back.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Housewife to go back-to-back.
CANBERRA: RACE 8 @ 5:35 PM
The promising BRAZEN CRIME (9) started at a short quote and was an easy Maiden winner here on debut. He has a handy gate and Penza takes over from Owen. Fitter and can go back-to-back for the premier local barn. Owen sticks with FIFTY FIVE MUSTANG (5) who resumed with a nose defeat at Albury. He is proven second up and maps for the run of the race. Gets the winkers for the blinkers and is feared. MOUNTAIN CHATTER (3) was back to his best narrowly beaten here in stronger. Peaks and Cahill goes aboard. He also has claims. RANGATIRA (2) was quickly back to his best narrowly beaten at Gundagai and has a 2kg claim today. He will be around the mark.
SELECTIONS: Brazen Crime to win.
HOBART: RACE 8 @ 4:31 PM
EASTCOAST MISS (6) came from the backlbeaten1L in a CL3 at Launceston. She lifted her figures again and is likely to sit handier today. Finds a touch easier and can go one better. ARAYA SUNSHINE (8) spiked her figures just missing here in a 64. Has the rail and maps for a soft run. In the mix keeping the 2kg claim. Pires gets off the above to stick aboard DAY PERFORMER (3) and the mare brings decent form to peak. The extra 100m will suit and she should be right in the finish. KAKIA (2) will be fitter and is proven second-up he races forward and will be around the mark.
SELECTIONS: Going with Eastcoast Miss.
