Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 31.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wyong, Sapphire Coast, Warrnambool, Kilcoy and Northam.
WYONG: RACE 5 @ 3:40 PM
ZOUPRINCE (1) finished off strongly on resumption when fourth over 1100m at Warwick Farm in BM72 grade on October 7. Has excellent second-up figures and he looks the one to beat in this easier contest. HYDROMETER (2) improving gelding expected to hold a forward position from the good draw. Drifted back early before warming up late when second over 1100m at Hawkesbury first up on October 10. Reunited with the winning rider and he looks the main danger. LLEWELLYN (3) comes out of a strong Midway race after sitting on the speed when a gritty seventh behind Alabama State over 1400m at Rosehill on October 12. Back in trip today and look for him late from the sticky barrier. FULL METAL JACKET (9) sprouted wings at the second run back when a surprise head winner over 1300m at Kembla Grange on October 12. Further improved and can take a hand in the finish from the soft gate.
SELECTIONS: Zouprince to win.

SAPPHIRE COAST: RACE 5 @ 4:40 PM
On-pacer CANADIAN EXPRESS (1) has been about the mark this prep but a second career win is proving elusive. His best effort was two starts back when he led and just failed to hold on in a Class 2 over 1500m at Goulburn. Should control things and will be hard to run down. PRESSILLY (5) opened this campaign with a couple of fine wins over 1200m at Moruya then she stepped up to seven furlongs at Nowra last time and wasn't disgraced in third, a nose in front of Canadian Express. Only needs to run up to that performance to be competitive again. ARANCIONE (6) ran on late to finish 1.6 lengths behind Pressilly over 1200m recently when second-up from a spell. Strips fitter and her record here at 1400m reads well. ENCANTADO (2) settled too far back and was never a hope last start over 1200m at Canberra. Needs this trip after two runs back from a break so don't leave him out. HARDAZHELL (3) wants more ground but while fresh might sneak into the first four.
SELECTIONS: Backing Canadian Express.
WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 6 @ 4:00 PM
MACY MOON (7) impressed beaten 1L at Ballarat first-up and then went back and just missed a place over 1500m. Childs goes on today and again the gelding is likely to position forward. He's still well shy of his peaks and the longer distance is right up his alley. MARK OF THE MAN (10) led here and was beaten a whisker over this distance. That will be more like his best and he has weight relief. Meech sticks and can secure the run of the race. ACTAEON (2) drew wide and needed the first-up outing. He's proven second-up and his best is good enough. On an 8-day return and the Wilde yard is getting plenty of winners. VITRUVIUS (1) peaks and has metro form good enough. Comes back in class with a 1.5kg claim and deserves consideration.
SELECTIONS: Backing Macy Moon.
KILCOY: RACE 4 @ 4:27 PM
STAR CHANCE (8) has been knocking on the door at the provincials. He's on a 7-day return and maps for a soft run. The extra metres won't bother and he's well placed to be winning. Not sure what happened to GINASUE (10) at the Sunshine Coast 4 days ago but she had threatened there three times prior and they are a better measure of her chances today. Drops back 300m and no surprise to see her right in the finish. JENNY'S ROSE (3) led and won a Maiden at Toowoomba by 3.5L over this distance. Didn't have the best of it at Ipswich following in harder than this. Is likely to sit closer today and a bounce isn't out of the question. CHANCE WITH WOLVES (1) will give away a start but will be around the mark if things go his way.
SELECTIONS: Backing Star Chance.
NORTHAM: RACE 7 @ 8:56 PM
LINDEN'S GOLD (2) dipped in his form a touch when out in trip last start but did pull up with a slight issue. Now back to this track and trip where he's had success previously, he maps well and Chris Parnham sticks with the gelding. Goes well fresh and can bounce back to winning ways. PRETTY DEVINE (8) has trialled well since her last start over 1400m here where she kept on strongly to the line. Luke Campbell hops in the saddle now and if she can run up to the figures she produced last start, she'll be hard to hold out. DIABLO LAD (4) got a long way back and never really got into the race in tougher company at Ascot last start. He's better than that though and is open to plenty of improvement today. Ticks plenty of boxes and can put himself into the finish. BEAUTIFUL BAROQUE (6) finds a nice kick-off point today and is worth including.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Linden's Gold.
