Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on May 31.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Friday at Coffs Harbour, Scone, Pakenham & Sunshine Coast.
Scone: Race 8 @ 4:35pm
A hot pace assured with Akeed leading the way. NORSKE CODE (9) sat behind the leading pair then let down nicely to get up for 2nd at Hawkesbury last start over today's journey. Down a little in class today and ready to peak at her third run back from a spell. MORALIST (5) came with a barnstorming finish to get up just in time over this distance at Nowra first up. Found a 900m Class 4 at Newcastle too slick last time but back to country racing over this trip looks a winning hope. ATTILA (4) has struggled in a couple of BM70s at Newcastle of late. Has won 2/3 at Scone and fourth up today could be the big improver. ALBERT'S NO PUSSY (1) for the exotics first up from a spell. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #9 Norske Code.

Sunshine Coast: Race 3 @ 1:35pm
Dinnigan is very speedy. DINNIGAN (8) has always been a talent. She was an expensive yearling ($850,000) and brings good form to this race. Became victim to the big impost at Murwillumbah when there till the concluding stages. Good thing for her is the rise in class. She carries the 56kg and has a far more seasoned rider on in Brad Stewart. Pings to the lead from the soft draw and should be mighty hard to catch. LOVE SQUIRRELS (7) is lightly-raced but stacked with promise. Back to her right race last time and was very strong from the back. Lloyd is keen to stick and she'll be sprouting wings late. SOLO MELODY (5) doesn't have the upside of a few of these. Very genuine and if they have an off day she'll be right there. LIPS 'N HIPS (4) best of the remainder. SELECTIONS: Dinnigan gets the nod.
Coffs Harbour: Race 4 @ 1:45pm
Balmaceda should get his own way in front. PROUD CAPTAIN (7) settled up on the speed and was too strong late over 1800m at Sunshine Coast last start. Tough gelding who has won up to 2200m so will relish the extra furlong today. FAIRLIGHTING (2) was strong through the line last time when beaten under a length over 2150m at Ipswich. Very fit mare who poses a serious threat dropping back to an easier race this afternoon. METEOROLOGIST (4) settled towards the rear of the field in the same Ipswich race last start and made some inroads without threatening to finish 4th. Dour veteran who will still be coming when others tire. BALMACEDA (6) was dominant over this distance at Wagga recently and although up in grade cannot be underestimated. SELECTIONS: #7 Proud Captain ticks all the boxes.
Pakenham Synthetic: Race 9 @ 4:00pm
Mint On Moseley and Full Of Theories can run them along. SUNRISE DANCER (10) broke through here in the CL1, 15 days ago well-backed and had been threatening. She gets back but comes hard, and rates to win again keeping the claim. STARVIRGO (1) resumes in easier and the form is strong. He gets some gear changes and expect a strong return despite the big weight. MINT ON MOSELEY (4) won the 58 easily here from the front and then things didn’t work out the same venue after. He’s in the mix. BROMES (2) resumes and expect him to come back further improved. SELECTIONS: #10 Sunrise Dancer can go on with it for the hot Stokes yard.
