Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 29.

Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Caulfield, Eagle Farm, Morphettville Parks and Belmont Park.

ROSEHILL: RACE 8 @ 2:35 PM

ELOUYOU (3) comes up from Victoria after going out hard at latest when nailed late as fav with a close second in BM84 grade over this trip at Flemington on June 8. Fitter now and will prove hard to run down from the inside gate. SILVANITO (5) underrated gelding due for a change of luck in this company. Took ground off CAPTAIN FURAI late when second over this track and trip on June 15. The 2kg claim helps his chances from the good draw. Value runner. HUGHES (13) first-up after 10 months made up a little ground late when fifth over 1250m at Canterbury on June 10. Looking for the 1400m now and can take a hand in the finish. CONVINCEBILITY (7) gave a bold sight at the latest when fighting on gamely into second. Worth including.
SELECTIONS: Elouyou to win.

CAULFIELD: RACE 2 @ 11:50 AM

KIN (8) was a very frustrating conveyance last time in, finishing close up in plenty of races without winning, often at short odds. With a bit of luck and a good steer from D Lane, she can take this out. MISS ICELANDIC (5) resumes for a new stable. She won three in a row last preparation including a very soft victory at this track and distance, prior to tackling a Listed race in Adelaide and running fairly well. Suited this level and can win. MRS CHRISSIE (1) is racing well, winning two of her past three. Will give a bold sight again. LUNA CAT (4) should be thereabouts off a solid win last start and can measure up. WAVERIDER BUOY (6) doesn't win many but will be running on strongly.
SELECTIONS: Backing Kin.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 2 @ 12:18 PM

The Listed Tattersall's Stakes for the babies. STEEL STRIKE (2) hails from a handy family (full to 2xG1 winner September Run) and put the writing on the wall for this with a strong Canterbury win last time out. Will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory and Clark sticks in the irons. The step-up in trip looks ideal and must be respected from the Waterhouse/Bott barn. DEPTH OF CHARACTER (1) wasn't disgraced here in Listed company at the latest effort and gets a jockey upgrade in the form of McDonald. Has to be included. HEINOUS (5) made up plenty of ground last time and should get a soft run in transit from gate two. Top-three candidate. MISS TRUSTFUL (6) doesn't know how to run a bad race and is a must for the multiples. RUN LUCY RUN (10) best of the rest in a race with only a handful of chances.
SELECTIONS: Steel Strike to win again.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 7 @ 3:12 PM

GREAT MAXIMUS (7) is going better than his form suggests. Has tackled some strong races this campaign and now drops back to a grade he won in to launch the campaign. Could go either way from the inside draw but he carries a class edge. Leading player. KATIM'S CLUB (9) has hit the line hard in her last two. Shoulders a handy record over this journey and only needs to hold her form to be competitive. SACHEM (10) continues to knock on the door but is just lacking the winning blow. Expect him to head straight back from the wide draw and be saved for the final shot at them. BAMYAN BUDDHA (3) lengthened nicely to get close on the line when resuming at Murray Bridge. Improvement to come and he warrants respect.
SELECTIONS: Great Maximus to win.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 2:44 PM

TALLANGATTA (3) took plenty of catching last start when only grabbed on the post, beaten a head in a gutsy effort. He draws a better gate this time and he'll roll forward and make his own luck again. This is an easier grade of race and if he runs to his recent form, he should be getting back to winning ways. HIS EMINENCE (9) ran over the top to score narrowly as a 5-1 chance over 2100m here 10 days ago. Despite the good draw, he is likely to get back which is a niggle, though his best ratings stack up nicely in this field and he's sure to make his presence felt. KISSES FROM KELLY (2) was too good when winning a Cl3 here 10 days over the 2100m journey, getting away to win by 0.7L on the line. He maps for a similar run this time around and he should be hitting his peak now fourth-up. He'll be right in the finish. ARNRAY (5) wasn't far away last start at Bunbury and is not to be discounted.
SELECTIONS: Tallangatta gets the nod.
