Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Grafton, Narrandera, Ballarat, Sunshine Coast, Kalgoorlie, and Devonport.

GRAFTON: RACE 6 @ 3:45 PM

TIME QUEST (13) starting to hit his straps this time in and indicated he was close to his top after powering late when fourth behind BEAR ON THE LOOSE at latest. Drops sharply in weight and expected to go close from the good gate. DIAMOND DIESEL (2) racing in a rich vein of form and chasing his third-straight victory today. Charged late in the heavy conditions when a slick 2 len winner at Warwick Farm in the LR Civic Stakes over 1400m on June 26. Form has since been franked and can win again. ESTADIO MESTALLA (4) stretches out to his preferred trip today and a win looks imminent. Loomed to win inside 150m before finishing second over 1400m in the LR Civic Stakes at Warwick Farm. Can get cover early and play a leading role. Multiple Group 2 winner CEPHEUS (1) is fitter after two runs back and reunited with Nash Rawiller. Much better effort when a gritty fourth over 1600m in the LR Tattersall's Mile at Eagle Farm on June 29. Has place claims from the draw. SELECTIONS: Time Quest each way.

NARRANDERA: RACE 4 @ 2:05 PM

HULM (4) is very easy to like having won three of five runs this time in. Led all the way at Corowa last time out and sure to take running down again. KAPPY'S ANGEL (3) won well at Wagga two starts back then excuses when beaten favourite last time out. Entitled to another chance as she can mix form. GOGOL (2) is fitter for three runs back and while it's been some time since his last win he is a good wet tracker so he could lift. MOJO MUSIC (5) and SHOOTING FOR STARS (9) are worth including.
SELECTIONS: Hulm to win. Trifecta 4-2,3,5,9/2,3,5,9.

BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM

BATRANA (9) ran very well first-up at Caulfield over 1200m when charging to the line before perhaps racing a bit flat at Sandown Hillside last time, starting hard in the market but failing to come on behind Miss Roumbini. She's by Justify so should appreciate the rise to a mile and if she finds her best form she'll be very hard to beat. ALL SO CLEAR (5) continues to race very well with four consecutive placings. Back slightly in trip here but will be hard to hold out late. KHOR (6) is in great form and should be right in the finish again.
SELECTIONS: Batrana to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 2:50 PM

The $300,000 Listed Caloundra Cup. KNIGHT'S CHOICE (4) has been very competitive without winning this campaign but is yet to put in a poor one. Placed over this distance range last time out and has won three from five around this circuit. Has the ability to test this field. HEZASHOCKA (2) put in one at the latest outing but go on the strong Eagle Farm Group 3 win two back. Can bounce right back to form here. ALEGRON (1) couldn't have been more impressive winning the Brisbane Cup last start but drops back sharply in trip here. Sure to be hitting the line with gusto. DUNE FORTY FIVE (8) next in line from the favourable draw.
SELECTIONS: Knight's Choice to get a well-deserved victory.

KALGOORLIE: RACE 3 @ 4:30 PM

PARORI (3) is still a mare on the way up despite her narrow defeat as favourite here 21 days ago. She has the speed to overcome the wide draw and he recent efforts rate clear of her rivals in this event. Should be getting back to winning ways in this suitable event. TOTAL LOCKDOWN (5) tired from in front last time out, beaten 2.4L at the line and the slight drop in trip looks ideal. He likes this track and trip, and while he hasn't won for a little while, his recent performance suggests he's not far away. CELESTIAL FOX (8) comes through the same race as Parori having finished 3.5L off the winner there. She'll carry little weight after the claim of Cooper and she's expected to put her best foot forward. BORN AND BREAD (7) wasn't far away last time out and gets the blinkers on again this time. Can put herself into the finish.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Parori.

DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 5 @ 2:20 PM

EASTCOAST MISS (8) won the 62 first-up and is proven second-up. She has more up her sleeve and maps well Keeps the 3kg claim and can go on with it. CHICANE (7) placed in a 62 quickly back to form. Raced favourite in that and draws an inside gate today. Peaks and will get every chance to make amends. BAO BUN (3) was well beaten seeking the hat-trick in stronger grade. The wins prior stack up and this suits better. Has a handy 2kg claim today but needs a good ride. A WEE NIP (9) resumes and has been well-trialled for the return. Will race over further and should be getting busy late.
SELECTIONS: Backing Eastcoast Miss.
