His southern form was very average and then I thought he beat very little when breaking through at Mackay in his stable debut over 1300m. He was well beaten at Yeppoon in his latest outing and now comes back to 1200m and finds a fairly even bunch. I can't have him starting favourite.
Moruya: Race 3; #4 Ulysses Blue
ULYSSES BLUE resumes here in an open sprint race. While she is a 1st up winner she is faced with a tricky race map fresh from the wide barrier. Getting caught out wide and potentially having to do some extra work fresh could make for a tough run here.
Launceston: Race 7; #2 Zulu Angel
Surprised to see Zulu Angel is in the red after opening up at $2.60. Can't fault his form but his staying credentials are still under question at this stage.
Moonee Valley: Race 4; #1 Quantum Cat
Gate one was the undoing of Quantum Cat at Caulfield last start and although he deserves favouritsm, he will need luck again from the inside draw and at the price I'm happy enough to take him on.
