The Victorian Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board has fined trainer Len Xuereb over a positive sample from Scenic Find.

A prohibited substance, being caffeine and its metabolite Theophylline, were detected in a urine sample taken from Xuereb's horse Scenic Find following its win at Pakenham on July 16.

A prohibited substance, being caffeine and its metabolites Theophylline, Paraxanthine and Theobromine, were detected in urine sample taken from the horse Scenic Find following its win at Sale on July 31.

Xuereb pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined $2000 on both charges, to be paid concurrently.

Scenic Find was disqualified from both wins.
