GOSFORD – January 25

Race 1: Co-trainer Michael Hawkes reported that You Got The Love had pulled up well and no abnormalities had been detected following a veterinary examination of the colt.

Race 2: Co-trainer Michael Hakes reported that Tavarnelle, which raced disappointingly on the rain affected track, had pulled up well and had pleased the stable.

Race 3: Trainer Chris Waller reported that Saint Chaparral, which raced disappointingly, was scoped subsequent to the race, which showed traces of mucous in the lungs. He added that Saint Chaparral has previously been subjected to a wind operation and it was now his intention to drop the gelding back in distance. Waller undertook to tender a vet certificate prior to Saint Chaparral's next start.

ROSEHILL January 21

Race 6: Trainer Bjorn Baker was questioned regarding comments made in the media concerning veterinary issues with Sharp Princess leading up to the race. Sharp Princess, which was found to be lame in the off hind leg, was withdrawn after its arrival on course.

Baker was advised of the provisions of AR140(a) in that he must report to the stewards any condition or occurrence that may affect its running in the race. Baker stated that the mare has had some issues with feet problems in the past, which resulted in it being scratched at the Rosehill Gardens meeting on January 14.

Baker advised that Sharp Princess will trial on the Kensington track and that he will also tender a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to its next start.
