Racing Victoria stewards have received a report from Racing Analytical Services Limited confirming a positive swab has been provided by the Bill and Symon Wilde-trained Great Lane.
The report pertains to a post-race urine sample taken from Great Lane following its win in the The Standard SV 3YO Maiden Plate (1200 metres) at Warrnambool on March 4.
RASL reported that the sample contained Phenylbutazone and Oxyphenbutazone (a non steroidal anti-inflammatory) which is a prohibited substance in accordance with the Australian Rules of Racing.
On April 15 stewards initially informed Bill and Symon Wilde of the irregularity.
They have advised them of the confirmatory findings and that they are continuing their investigation.
