Hucklebuck should prove too classy at Morphettville on Saturday when resuming in the Dominant Open Handicap.

The Phillip Stokes-trained runner is likely being aimed at a big Melbourne campaign after this run with a race like the Australian Guineas not out of his reach.

All three runs in Melbourne throughout the spring were very good, last seen when running a narrow second behind Paximadia in the G3 Carbine Club Stakes.

Hucklebuck Resumes over a shorter trip today but was solid enough over the shorter trips last campaign and three-year-old gelding rates well clear on weight adjusted Timform ratings of his rivals in this.

Expecting him to prove too strong for these on the way to some bigger targets this campaign.

Later in the day stablemate Mossego, also ridden by Dom Tourneur will look to continue his good form as he steps out for his fourth win in a row.

The five-year-old gelding has won his last two at this course and despite dropping back in trip after a slight freshen up looks hard to go past.

The son of Mossman has had the two previous runs over 1800m, placing on both occasions and with only 54kgs to carry today must be respected.

The current price of $5.50 looks pretty good and his best recent form stacks up better than any of these on weight adjusted Timform ratings.

From barrier eight, Mossego is likely to settle in the second half of the field but will be running on late with Differing Fortunes and Reckless Assassin the main dangers.

Set On Stone backs up quickly off a last start third on the Morphettville Parks course after scoring a handy win at Gawler two back.

Showed good ability last start but finds himself with a bit more to do today and will need to improve again to be winning here.

Looks a fairly open affair and he steps up to the mile for the first time in his career.

Currently the $4 favourite, Set On Stone looks vulnerable against a couple of this with similar or better form and looks under the odds at the current price.

Moon Bricks looks one of the main dangers having run well at this C/D two back before just missing at Gawler last start.

Filiar Invictus and Monsoon Poon also pose a danger and will take beating in this.
