ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 5 (6) KRISTY LEE: Good mare in this class and is nicely placed to race well for the strong Waller/Cassidy combination at her first start since February after an easy trial on a heavy track at Rosehill on April 15. She’s best fresh and it’s telling that she’s had five starts since she last raced on her home track in November. Back home is a big factor in her favour with the benefit of a good draw.

RACE 7 (9) YOU’LL NEVER: Really liked the way he found the line late once in the clear when narrowly beaten first-up over 1200m in soft ground at Randwick on April 26. Overall recod of consistency is very good as he has won or placed in 11 of his 16 starts and is another Waller runner who will be better for the first-up run back on his home track where firmer conditions will suit as his best form is on good and dead surfaces.

RACE 8 (10) CLEVER BOY: Cassidy and Waller team again with a good value chance in an open race. Had a break of seven weeks after a deserved win over 1550m at Canterbury on March 5 before running home strongly from the back when excellent fourth in this class over 1400m at Warwick Farm on April 25. He can handle dan y conditions and like the fact that he’s another Waller horse coming home after seven away starts since his last Rosehill race in July. Appeals as a good gamble from a favourable draw as he maps to get a better run than others prominent in the betting.
