The All American 2YO filly was an impressive two and a half length winner in a barrier trial at Wyong on July 8 and is primed for a strong first up showing.

“She is a really nice filly but we will need a lot of luck from the barrier,” Tracey said. “I’ve given her two trials so she is primed and ready to move forward now.

“I think the Darley filly will be the hardest to beat but hopefully we can figure in the finish.”

American Patriot, who will be ridden by Tye Angland, has drawn barrier 10 in a field of 11.

She is one of three good chances Tracey has engaged at his home track meeting.

Five-year-old gelding Friendly Lad will also be having his first race start for Bartley in the 1100m Maiden Plate for Colts and Geldings.

“He’s an interesting horse. He was in work as a two-year-old, had a couple of barrier trials and then unfortunately bowed a tendon. The owners thought he was worth going on with and decided to give him a lengthy spell.

“He came to me and I’ve been really happy with the way he’s been going. He trialled at Wyong on May 27 and I was pleased with his efforts that day.

“He has come along nice since then and is ready to go. I expect him to run well. He has drawn fairly well in barrier 6 and I’ve got Christian Reith to ride him.”

Canny Lad mare Paisley completes Bartley's trio of runners, with the four-year-old starting in the 1350m Benchmark 60 Handicap.

She has drawn barrier six in a field of 16 and will be ridden by Kerrin McEvoy.

Paisley finished fourth on a heavy track at Wyong over 1100m at her last start on June 15 and Tracey is confident she will perform better on top of the ground.

“She gets into this race well and I think she will improve on her last run.

“She didn’t handle the heavy track start and being on top of the ground should make a big difference. She’s got a good barrier and rider so we will see what she can do.

“Her only win was on this track so it would be good to see her do it again.

“On paper all three of my runners look to be chances but it’s always hard to win.”
