The track has already been posted a heavy9 while the rail will be out nine metres from the 1000 metre mark to the winning post and then six metres for the remainder.

The wet track should not stop Daytona Grey making it back-to-back victories when he contests the Programmed Property Services Flying over 1100m.

Prepared by Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas, Daytona Grey was a last start winner over 1100m in a Benchmark 90 at this track 21 days ago.

The son of Artie Schiller ploughed through the heavy conditions in scoring a two-length victory over Run Diego.

Daytona Grey’s form this campaign has been solid and importantly he is proven on all sorts of ground.

He finished second at his first two runs at the ‘Parks’ track before venturing to Melbourne where he finished fifth to Vain Queen over the straight 1100m course on June 28.

Following that performance he returned to his home track, scoring the comfortable victory with Jason Holder on board, who again takes the ride on Saturday.

Importantly Daytona Grey drops from the 59.5kg he carried at his latest outing to 58kg on Saturday.

Later in the day Melbourne visitor Quick Siesta is set to notch a winning hat-trick when he contests the final event on the program, the Anthony Catford’s Birthday Handicap over 1200m.

Quick Siesta notched successive victories at Cranbourne over 1200m and 1300m respectively.

He led throughout to land the prize in maiden grade before rising to Benchmark 64 grade with his victory last time, where again he raced on the speed and held on for a narrow victory.

He’s drawn a nice gate and jockey Ben Knobel will allow him to roll forward in the early stages and he should take plenty of running down.

While the play of the day Defiant Angel got rolled in the final event on the card last week, the each-way play, Wise And Happy, saluted at $4.60 after $6 was bet earlier.

Let’s hope Daytona Grey and Quick Siesta can get the job done.

Good luck and good punting.

Play Of The Day: Race 6 #3 Daytona Grey @$3.20

Each Way Play: Race 9 #5 Quick Siesta @$12
