Queen Of The Lochs returned to racing in good order last start and should prove hard to hold out at Doomben on Saturday.
The Mick Mair-trained runner (Race 3#3) finished third over 1110m at Doomben and is likely to improve on the back of that effort.
Queen Of The Lochs produced good form in listed company last campaign and was sent for a spell after she was well held in Group 3 company at Doomben after not having much luck throughout.
The four-year-old mare is right down in the weights for this and the slight step up in trip is sure to suit.
Apprentice jockey Luke Tarrant who has placed twice from as many rides goes back on board for this and she looks hard to go past.
The current price of $3.20 looks good in a field like this and she certainly gets her chance in this.
Later in the day Prettyfamous (Race 4 #7) will look to win her second race in as many starts after claiming a handy win at the Gold Coast last start.
Goes up in class on that effort, but is right down in the weights for this and on weight adjusted ratings looks very well placed in this.
The current price of $7.50 looks very good each way odds based on what she has produced in recent times and top local jockey Jim Byrne goes on board for the first time.
Jim Byrne has been riding in very good form of late and you would expect Prettyfamous to not be far away in the run and generally goes well at this trip.
The resuming Love Rocks looks the obvious danger but even with the claim will be required to carry 59.5kg and will have his work cut out.
Last week was a disappointing on with our bet of the day Sea Red running fourth whilst the each way play Tahoe City just missed the placings in fourth at good odds
Good Luck!
