Consorting is the bet of the day on fairly run of the mill card at the Valley this Saturday.

Consorting has always been a bit of a talent but his racing pattern has cost him - and will probably continue to cost him - a couple of wins, and so he has won just the 3 races from 17.

That's obviously the query with him again today but this does look to set up well for him with room to move from barrier 11 and confirmed speed up front.

A perfect race scenario has him able to get moving down the side and rattle on by them as they spring of the camber.

Given that scenario he should be running right up to his peak form and that is going to leave him a very likely winner in this company.

In the next race Bishops Castle makes a bit of appeal as the 'each way play'.

He returned a new career peak around the Valley last time, setting up some decent figures for the class from the front and if he can repeat them, or build on them, he'll be competitive.

Thermal Current is the horse to beat but it is getting towards D-Day for him.

Bishops Castle is currently at around the $10 mark and that seems a fair gamble.
