It is South Australian Derby day at Morphettville on Saturday and seeing is believing.
After a long prep you would think the star WA filly Delicacy would be starting to get tired.
However her win in the Australasian Oaks was that of a top G1 horse and one who could evolved into a better chance come the Spring.
Once she saw daylight she charged over the field and even if you think she now meets the boys, well she beat them up too in the WA Derby only a month back.
This is one of the weakest Derby fields you could imagine. She has 16 points on the Official Ratings on the field and also gets 2kg off them.
It will take bad luck, bad management or a bad ride to beat her.
Can see value in the form of Marco Polo who has been racing so well and now contests the Provincial Super Series Final.
He gets to the mile for the first time but love the way he was challenged and probably headed at the furlong last start only to fight back hard and draw away.
Should be able to get into a decent position in running and in a race with many chances, he’s one at odds to speck in the exotics.
