We are backing in the mares to get us a nice result at odds at the Morphettville card this Saturday.

Even though stepping up to the mile quickly a week after running at 1200m, Spinning Diamond has many things in her favour on Saturday.

The former Sydney mare, who did start her career in Adelaide with a win at this track, was winning metro races just last April before a long spell.

She is now back on her old home ground and won first up, coming from midfield. Possibly a bit flat and back in trip last week, this suits better.

The mare loves to track up then launch and can do that in this race in the small field, with nothing on her back after claim. Looks a perfect scenario.

A wet track only helps her chances.

There could be some value in the last race in the form of Famous Jayne.

This five year old has a fantastic first up record with two wins and two close placings from four attempts.

Her trial earlier in the month indicates she is back in good fashion. From the straight run to the turn, she gets the chance to be wherever Justin Potter wants to.

However on-pace has been her pattern resuming in the past. Happy to be backing her each way.
