Win To Keep On Winning

3 minute read

The Kris Lees-trained Letsava Win can build upon his first up success in the 1300m Class 1 at Hawkesbury on Thursday.

The son of Savabeel hit the ground running first up when saluting over 1250m at Newcastle 26 days ago.

It was a clinical first up outing where Letsava Win settled in behind the speed before proving a class above.

The gelding will have taken benefit from that outing and appears suited second up in the Pkf – Peter Kelly Flooring Class 1 Handicap (1300m).

A small distance rise second up should be ideal for the three-year-old 26 days between runs.

He lines up against only seven rivals, a number of which have been struggling for form and consistency.

The Kris Lees-trained runner showed promise through his maiden preparation last summer.

The decision to geld the three-year-old in his latest spell looks set to reap dividends based on the strength of his first up showing.

Prince Dylan shapes as an apparent danger despite a last start disappointment at Newcastle over 1200m.

The gelding folded badly on that occasion which followed a dominant success over 1200m at Gosford.

The four-year-old now has ear muffs applied for the first time.

While he has mixed form through his five start career to date, the gelding has shown glimpses of genuine promise as was evidenced first up.

Admit made all at this course and distance after a string of solid efforts prior.

It was a case of the mare being rewarded for her consistency and finds a race in which that again may ring true.

Quite Frankly was underwhelming last start, only battling away at this course in a Benchmark 60.

His prior form at country level was solid though and has to be considered a value chance in a race lacking apparent depth.

Letsava Win though is clearly the most progressive sort in this field and can take another step through the grades in the PKF – Peter Kelly Flooring Class 1 Handicap (1300m) at Hawkesbury.
