There are some Listed races on the Morphettville card Saturday which makes for good punting.
Gee Diamond Oasis looks well placed in the Listed Wylie Handicap.
Here is a horse who has been close up in them in the past and only carries 2.5kg over the minimum.
All he needs to do is run the 1100m out well enough and he may well be too good. He had to chase the tearaway leader and was left to suffer late at Caulfield.
Think he might get a softer run here in much easier company. Darren Weir seems to find the right races for these newcomers to the stable.
Weir could make it a double with Benefactor in the last race.
He’s put two good country wins together and now heads to Adelaide which won’t be much different.
Clearly with no dramas on softer going, he’ll be back and looking to swoop into the race.
Most of the main chances look around him at the weights so isn’t giving away much.
