Perkins will be out to secure another win when he lines up in the Class 5 over 1800m on the Polytrack at Kranji on Friday night.

The six-year-old gelding comes into this race having won two of his last three, the most recent in similar company to this over 1700m last start.

Settling off the speed in fourth for much of the race, Perkins proved too strong over the concluding stages to win by a length on Alfonso who lines up in this race with Key On Kodiac in third.

The son of Sir Percy appears to have come back in terrific order but his new yard this campaign and if he can run up to his last start effort he will be hard to hold out again.

Has more weight to carry today which is a slight concern however there is a lot to like about his recent form and he has done enough to suggest he can prove too good for these once again today.

Alfonso who finished runner up to Perkins last time out shapes up as the main danger again and steps out for the Lee Freedman stable for the first time.

Carries 58.5kg once again today and has two previous wins over the 1800, suggesting the slight extra distance will suit today.

From the wide draw would expect Manoel Nunes to push forward again today and have him on the speed and if he can run up to anything near his best he will take plenty of running down.

Last win came in November of last year, some 10 runs back but he is rarely too far away at the finish and will be right around the mark again today now proven on the Polytrack with his second placing last start.

Galaxy Express was a bit disappointing in the same Class 5 last start, finishing eighth but might get a better run from barrier 3 today.

Has struggled to go on with it since winning on the turf back in April but is a talented enough horse on his day to be featuring in the finish of this.

Back over the 1800m will suit and if Alan Munro can have him a bit closer today then a finish in the placings is not out of the question.

Key On Kodiac rounds out the main chances having finished third behind Perkins last time out.

Career record is very average with only three placings from 20 starts and yet to salute but if he runs up to his last start effort he can make his presence felt once again.
