Special King To Rule Kranji

3 minute read

Special King should relish the drop back in trip when he lines up in the Class 4 over 1100m on the Polytrack at Kranji on Friday.

The lightly raced three-year-old has been racing well in similar company of late and comes off a last start third behind Supersonicsurprise over 1200m also on the Polytrack.

His only win to date has come over the 1100m trip and from the inside draw he should push forward again to settle on the speed.

Manoel Nunes remains on board and this shapes up as an easier race to what he has been racing against his last couple of outings and the drop back to 1100m is sure to suit as well.

Special King has produced similar ratings his last three outings and if he runs up to that form again today he is certainly the one they have to beat.

Haytham has returned fairly this campaign with two sound runs and third up today should be ready to fire.

His only previous win to date came when third up previously over this course and distance late last year.

The Mark Walker-trained runner comes off a last start fourth placing when running on well from back in the field and drawn much better today should find himself a bit closer in the run.

Will need to show improvement on his last couple to get the better of Special King but has shown enough to suggest he will be very competitive again today.

My Horse appeared to have every opportunity last start before tiring late when midfield behind Silkino over this trip on the Polytrack.

Has failed to win a race this campaign but has not been far away on occasions and his form last campaign was very good.

Gets the Cross Over Noseband on for the first time today and from barrier 5 should settle just off the leaders and can feature in the finish.

Nova Warrior rounds out the main chances and steps up to the 1100m for this where he has a good record.

Is a seven time winner and despite racing below his best at present, has form in tougher company of late and this looks easier to his last start when behind Kratos.
